Venez…What?

On Saturday, March 2, Donald Trump was slammed by users on X, formerly known as Twitter, after he was incapable of pronouncing “Venezuela” while speaking in North Carolina.

The former president’s mistake came amid rumors that his mental capabilities have been deteriorating due to his old age.

“Sweaty Dementia Trump mangles ‘Venezuela,’” one person penned on social media alongside a clip of the incident.

In response, many people bashed the 77-year-old and speculated the reason for his mistake.

“I couldn’t take more than 10 seconds of this cringe,” one individual shared, while another mocked his intelligence, noting, “Of course he did. It’s got more than one syllable.”

Others compared the slip up to that of President Joe Biden, who has been increasingly criticized for gaffes in his own speeches.

“And to think ppl are whining Biden is too old. This cat is bats— crazy with a dash of dementia thrown in,” someone wrote, while another person added, “Wall-to-wall, 24/7 coverage, had this been President Biden.”

“And then says that President Biden can’t talk. They don’t even get the hypocrisy. And it happens right in front of them,” one more pointed out.

Lastly, one more user claimed the moment could have been caused by a larger medical issue for Trump, saying, “This is aphasia which is an early sign of dementia, particularly Alzheimer’s.”

As OK! previously reported, on Thursday, February 29, there was further speculation on Trump’s health status after a video circulated where he appeared to be dragging his right leg.

The original clip featured the father-of-five entering a room full of people cheering as he made strange leg movements.

According to psychologist Dr. John Gartner, Donald Trump is showing “gross signs of dementia.” Gartner makes this assessment based on multiple “symptoms” that are observable to the public, but it isn’t just Trump’s inability to remember names or the constant verbal slip-ups that we should be paying attention to. Dr. Gartner says that Trump’s speaking has become labored and he’s slurring more than ever – both of which could be signs of serious cognitive problems. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this. “It looks like middle-stage dementia … In a year, he’ll need an electric wheelchair to move around Mar-a-Lago,” a user on X shared.

Others noted their theories on the motion of Trump’s appendage.

“He’s known to have a bad back. I’m wondering if he has nerve compression and a drop foot,” one person said, while another penned, “Right hip and knee carrying too much weight. Needs hip or knee replacement or both. It happens at that age to a lot of elderly.”

A Trump spokesperson also replied to the post, saying, “As President Trump said, crooked Joe Biden is a mental midget unfit for office.”

During a recent interview with Salon dot com’s, Chauncey de Vega psychologist Dr. John Gartner, said that Donald Trump appears to be showing gross signs of dementia, possibly early signs of Alzheimer’s. Now, Donald Trump’s cognitive decline has definitely not been covered to the degree that President Biden’s alleged decline has been covered. Biden will make one single gaff, like say one stupid thing, and all week long that is the headline, all week one thing, five days. Trump, on the other hand, says crazy, deranged, incoherent things literally every day. It’s hard to keep up. Most of them don’t even make headlines. You only catch them if you see clips of him online.

But the headlines are definitely skewed to make it seem like Biden is much worse than Trump. And I wanted to preface this segment with that, just to show you the inequality and the almost, oh, we gotta cover both sides. that the media tries to pull. Let me read you what Dr. Gardner told Chauncey to Vega. And by the way, Gardner is one of the 27 contributors to that book from 2017, the Dangerous Case of Donald J. Trump. Anyway, he says this. There’s also this focus on President Joe Biden’s, gaffes, or other things that are well within the normal limits of aging.

By comparison, Trump appears to be showing gross signs of dementia. This is a tale of two brains. Biden’s brain is aging, Trump’s brain is dementing. Once again, this is coming from a mental health professional, a guy that is trained a doctor to recognize these kinds of things. He continues, uh, Trump appears to be spiraling into, uh, phonemic para, uh, para fasas during rally speeches. You know, the substitution of non words for words that sound similar, not normally seen until a patient enters the moderate to severe stages of Alzheimer’s.

He says, some examples of Trump’s non words beneficiaries becomes benefic. Renovations become ver pivotal, became pivotal. Obama became Obama. Missiles became mices. Christmas became Christmas, bipartisan became bis. This is a fundamental breakdown in the ability to use language. If you were talking to your father on the phone and he did this, you would think he was having a stroke. There is no healthy older person who speaks that way.

Uh, he also has the tangental speech. Uh, he just becomes incomprehensible when he engages in free association, word, salad, speech that is all over the place. Again, that’s a sign of real brain damage. Not being old, not being slow, not losing a step, not being but but of severe cognitive deterioration. What I don’t understand is why those clips aren’t replayed over and over in the mainstream media. Isn’t Trump babbling incoherently the most newsworthy worthy part of his rally?

You can be sure it would if it were Biden. I agree with everything he says. I have nothing to really add to that. He took all of these examples, right? Okay. Well, Donald Trump meant to say this word, but instead of missiles, he’s like missions instead of bipartisan, he said bipartisan. And the slurring, like we saw that in his CPAC speech. We saw it last Thursday in his, uh, uh, uh, speech to the religious broadcasters. He gets on these, these tangents and he’s flurrying. That’s a symptom. That is what this mental health professional is telling us.
