6 hours agoOur governing body wants to say that no one’s above the law, but could you imagine how far under the prison you or I would be if we did just a tenth of what Donald Trump has done? Of course there’s a double standard when it comes to how the law is applied otherwise Trump would have been arrested by now!

6 hours ago (edited)I’m in favor of abolishing the power of the presidential pardon. It seems like it breaks the rule of checks and balances, and it definitely gives a president the power to be above the law, just like how you can’t indict a sitting president, something I’m also against.

6 hours agoA sad and scary reality, is the likelihood that the next Republican president, whoever they may be, will pardon some of these individuals.

4 hours agoCongress needs to close that little, never used before, loophole. No elected official, that has the power to pardon someone, should EVER be allowed to even muse about pardoning themselves! Congress can enact legislation to end that little fantasy, to nip it in the bud, before someone becomes president or governor of a state, decides to run rampant and break all kinds of laws and then ‘pardon themself’ just before they leave office.
