Republicans make MASS EXODUS From RADICAL MAGA Party and share why WITH US Part 5

Normal Republicans are being pushed out of the GOP in droves. They are being labeled ‘RINOs’ and ‘traitors’ by a fascist MAGA movement that bears no relation to conservatism. Many of these Republicans will be voting BLUE! These voters shared their stories with us on Twitter and YouTube. This is Part 5 of our series. If you have a similar story, share it with us in the comments!

13 hours agoMy husband and I were both hard-core evangelical Republicans, but we could no longer remain affiliated with any organization or vote for any candidate who supported lies, slander, hate, devisiveness and racism. We were forced to re-evaluate everything we thought we believed and realized that the Democrats were the party that represented our core values of love, compassion, equality and truth. We are now both proud to be Democrats!

14 hours agoMy mother was a lifelong Republican and had never once voted for a Democrat in her entire life. When Trump first ran for president in 2016, she voted for him thinking that he must be more qualified than he appeared to be if the Republicans were running him as a candidate. She tried very hard to like and support him early in his presidency, but became more and more disillusioned over time with his crass statements and appalling behavior. She decided she could no longer support any party that expected its members to loyally turn a blind eye to Trump’s abominable actions. At the age of 84, she proudly voted Democrat for the very first time when she cast her ballot for Biden in 2020.Read more

13 hours agoHi Ben, I am a former republican who am sad to say I voted for Trump in 2016 as I was not aware of who he really was and what he would do to the party and more important, the country. I switched to the Democratic Party in 2017 and have voted straight blue since then. While I don’t agree with all the policies of the Democratic Party, my principles are much more aligned with the Democrats. I am a retired Miltary officer and am appalled at the lunatics and criminality of the Trump and his minions. Thank you for what you are doing. I am a 62 year old male and voted republican most of my adult life, never again. JeffRead more

14 hours agoI’ve never been interested in politics, never voted in my life. When COVID hit and I could see that Trump lied over and over, I could see him down playing it. I was scared, so I suddenly found myself very interested in politics. Then I kept seeing Trump say he would see if he accepted the results of the election, and if he lost it was rigged. This was months before the election. Then January 6th happened, I was horrified and scared, never experienced this kinda fear in America!! All of this made me register to vote. First time in my life I have ever voted, and I voted for Freedom and Democracy!! The Republicans scare me!!! If they gain power we will lose the very thing that makes America so great, our freedom and our Democracy!!🇺🇸🇺🇸💙💙Read more

13 hours agoWe are all exhausted by these people! Midas Touch is one of the few things I can watch. I have PTSD from the new Republican backed reversal of Roe. I was that little girl…thank you MT and Ben, for giving us hope of justice. Exhausted and anxiously awaiting justice for those who survived Jan 6th, the police officers whose lives are forever changed and for all of us who watched it and whether you already had trauma issues….the country, in large part, now does. We cannot stand how most Republicans actually then turned around and said it was “a tourist day”…defecating in the US capital???? My God….open your eyes! Please.Read more

14 hours agoSo glad to be following you. I am 72. I could not wait to vote at 21 and I’ve voted in every election since. I’ve always considered myself independent. I look at the candidates and make my decision based on facts that I research. But the Republicans have gone so far over the edge I don’t recognize them as Americans any longer. Keep up the good work!

12 hours ago (edited)I live in Australia and have no say in American politics. For most of my adult life I’ve made a donkey vote because voting here is mandatory. I’ve always felt no matter who takes power (Liberal or Labour) they will still screw us over just in a different way. I wanted to vote Greens but my vote could potentially go to one of the aforementioned parties. Meidas Touch and Beau of the Fifth have inspired me to look at what’s going on in my own backyard. I’ve had enough of the two major parties and want a change. My motto now is “Stand up or shut up”. The world hangs in the balance with the US elections. If the GQP retake power, the planet dies. 12 hours agoMy sister has voted republican for over 40 years. She was also a southern baptist. Trump immediately changed her to a dark blue democrat. She quit her fascist church, her formally close, now fascist, friends tear my sister down on social media. She was also anti-abortion but that changed after she checked the subject facts, not southern baptist propaganda. I changed from a republican to democrat in the late 60’s after being transferred to southern Georgia with my job as a young man. The stark racism changed me, it is all over the country now. My sister and I can now talk politics, I am proud of her for standing up to her former friends that showed themselves as who they really are.Read more

14 hours agoI have been a Republican for almost 60 years. I noticed what is going on now starting to happen in 2000. However, I remain in the party because in New Mexico they are closed primaries. Unless you are registered as a republican or a democrat you cannot vote in the primaries and I feel by remaining a republican I can exert some force against the terrible trends we are seeing now. However, I’ve always voted for the individual that I thought would do the best job. This means that in this election, I’m voting entirely for Democrats because none of the Republicans are worth anything at all. As a republican, I would say the best thing anyone could do for the Republican party is to vote blue because that will cause the leader ship to choose between being the leaders of a dead party or taking the courage to lead Republicans back to responsible government.Read more

If we do not get the Maga’s, Roger Stones and Bannons of the world out and expose them for what they are then democracy will be dead here. I am a Daughter of the American Revolution. 14 hours agoWe don’t have to go to Biden rallies because we don’t need to have a rally to believe he’s going to do right by us or at least try his best. Rallies are for people who need to have their feelings whipped up and need to be in close proximity to those of like mind who support their way of thinking. It gives them positive reinforcement.

12 hours agoI remember sitting in my high school civics class learning about how people in communist USSR didn’t have free press and only heard government propaganda telling them how great everything was in Russia, even though we all knew they were decades behind most of the rest of the world and were not free like we were. We all felt so sorry for them that they didn’t have any idea what was truly going on. Now I see people in this country basically doing that to THEMSELVES. The truth is out there, but they are buying into the lies and enabling their own ignorance. It’s mind-boggling and almost surreal to me what is happening to the USA. Messages like this give me hope that Americans are beginning to wake up.Read more

12 hours agoI grew up in a conservative household in rural New York, my parents always voted republican, and I assumed I would too. I never bothered to vote in the Obama era since I was a clueless college student and didn’t yet see the importance of it, but I remember feeling very unsettled about the kind of rhetoric that conservatives (republicans) were spewing about Obama and just the hateful garbage that was so unlike any other presidential era, to me it was clearly a racist knee-jerk reaction against who I saw as a decent, honorable man, despite my having issues with some of his policies. Looking back, Trump was an inevitable outcome of the hate and white-supremacist trash that had boiled over after Obama, and it has exposed how cowardly and spineless the Republican Party was and continues to be for not completely ostracizing him after everything he’s done. Instead they’ve sold their souls to the pursuit of power at any cost, and I’ll be damned if I ever cast a vote for one of these traitors. Thank goodness my republican parents saw through the BS and voted blue in 2016 and 2020.Read more

11 hours agoI became a Democrat in 1984 when Reagan ran for a second term. I realized that being a Republican was supporting big business which was not our life style. My husband was in construction, a union man, which the Republicans have worked to destroy for years. Looking back, I’ve witnessed that party become almost cult like overtime. They’ve lost their way, for sure, obsessed with power and money and only caring for those that agree with that agenda no matter the cost! I am hoping beyond hope that we return to normal, fighting over our differences as opposed to fighting for our lives. Thanks Ben for putting clarity to our current situation it’s so, so important!Read more
