However, Alex Jones came along and he saw an opportunity to manipulate people’s genuine interest in discussing suppressed ideas and commercialized it for himself using a healthy dose of fear based messaging. Then came Steve Bannon who grokked what Jones had leveraged and Bannon used it to help Trump win- Bannon inserted more fear and amplified people’s fears into the “fake news” movement. He also marketed this stuff to disenfranchised social outcasts, primarily uneducated, isolated, underemployed white men and their racist pro gun militia type friends.
Then QAnon came along, then GOP Congressional candidates joined QAnon, amplifying fear, disinformation and leveraging the conspiracy theory enthusiasm with abject disinformation to create an army of zombies who will unquestioningly support the first American dictator in 100 years.
Then FB, Twitter, and other social media platforms are forced to filter out the toxic disinformation that this scenario has generated- now you get censorship of people who have had no part in QAnon, etc. the censorship algorithms are not sophisticated enough to avoid separating out QAnon Disinfo from the genuine exploration of suppressed topics. the whole thing is a KGB wet dream, could not have worked more perfectly.12

Thank you for speaking out what others (who do not support Trump) have been afraid to say. Trumpism is nothing more than fascism and my father and his generation already fought Hitler and died en masse. We need kinder, more compassionate leaders and must not tolerate violence, racism, prejudice, sexism, xenophobia, misogyny, hate speech, and hate charged ideology for we see how fast it becomes killer cops, terroristic measures, death, and destruction.
